BYLAWS

ARTICLE I:  NAME & PURPOSE

Section A: Name – The name of this club shall be Color Country Ramblers

Section B Purpose – The purpose of this club shall be to meet monthly on RV excursions to fellowship and jointly enjoy the activities.

 

ARTICLE II:  MEMBERSHIP

Section A: Eligibility - Membership shall be open to any who wish to share this type of activity..

Section B: Classification of Membership

i.  Active - all regular regular members (defined as each person)

ii. Prospective - Interested parties must attend (2) meetings and be voted on by ballot sent by email before joining as a regular member.

 

ARTICLE III:  OFFICERS

Section A: Officers – The officers shall be a President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Coordinator.

Section B: Election – The officers shall be elected by ballot at the Christmas Party  by a majority of the vote cast for that office.

Section C: Term – The officers shall serve for one year, beginning January 1.

Section E: Vacancy – If a vacancy occurs in an office, a new election will be held at the next meeting.  

 

ARTICLE IV:  DUTIES OF OFFICERS

Section A: President – it shall be the duty of the President to:

  • Preside at meetings

  • Vote only in case of a tie

  • Represent the club

  • Perform such other duties as ordinarily pertain to this office

 

Section B: Secretary – It shall be the duty of the Secretary to:

  • Record the minutes of all meetings

  • Keep a file of the club’s records

  • Maintain membership applications, send emails to vote on prospective members and keep a current roster of membership

  • Issue notices of meetings and conduct the general correspondence of the club .

  • Maintain the financial records and transactions

 

Section C: Coordinator – It shall be the duty of the Coordinator to:

  • Keep record of all outings and ensure there is a host for each one.

  • Keep the webmaster updated on all activities.

 

 

ARTICLE V:  MEETINGS

 

Section A:  Outings will be held March through October on the third Tuesday of each month, the second Tuesday of November and a Christmas Party will be held in December.  No outings in January or February.

Section B: Meetings – Regular meetings shall be held monthly during the regularly scheduled outing.

Section C: Quorum – A quorum shall consist of 50% of the members of record.

Section D: Parliamentary Authority – Robert’s Rules of Orders, shall govern this club in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these bylaws.

 

ARTICLE VI:  AMENDMENTS

Section A: Selection – these bylaws may be amended by a 50% majority vote of the club membership.

Section B: Notice – All members shall receive advance notice of the proposed amendment.

 

ARTICLE VII DUES

Section A: Assessment -  Dues will be assessed for each rig

Section B:  Contingency Fund - A contingency fund of $300 will be maintained.

Section C:  Amount - Dues will be determined at the December meeting based on the remaining funds in the treasury, the contingency fund and the projected expenses for the upcoming year.  The amount will then be voted on by the members.

 

ARTICLE VIII - DISSOLUTION

 

Upon dissolution of this club any funds remaining after all debts are paid shall be donated to a charity with IRS standing as a (501)(c)(3) organization as chosen by the membership by majority vote.
